Mindanao Railways Corporation Filed Bill by the Rodriguez Brothers

The Representative of Cagayan de Oro Rufus Rodriguez and his brother Abante Mindanao Partylist Maximo Rodriguez Jr. has filed House Bill 3055 that would create Mindanao Railways Corporation (MRC).

This proposed Mindanao Railways Corporation will pass to Davao City-Cagayan de Oro City-Zamboanga City or vice versa. According to these lawmakers, the MRC will operate railroads, tramways, vessels, pipeline and other kinds of land transportation in Mindanao.

If this proposed house bill will be approved it is a big help because it will shorten the distance between Zamboanga and Cagayan de Oro or Davao and Cagayan de Oro.

The MRC will be exempted from paying taxes, the bill added.

According to the Rodriguez brothers, this railway has advanced railroad system in Japan, Canada, United States and European countries where people and goods were transported at the lowest cost.
