Discovery Channel Will Document Higalaay Festival

This is a good news to Kagay-anons, this is the first time that Discovery Channel will document the Higalaay festival and it was confirm already. When I read the good news, CDOPedia would like to be part of this Higalaay festival promotion. I think through online and social media promotion CDOPedia can help in this campaign.

The reason behind the campaign called “Higala para sa Higala” is because us in the private or non private organizations, companies, schools or any representation will work together, contributing in anyway to celebrate the fiesta with our less fortunate Kagayanons this coming Aug 28,2014 Duaw Park 9:00am.

If you did now what Higalaay means then below is an overview on what is it all about.

Higalaay is not really a known word, so the challenge here is that how will we project and send the message across the world or even our neighbors of being friendly if we only celebrate fiesta with ourselves, enjoying and having fun while our poor Kagayanons suffers. I know one day of celebrating with them will not solve the problem but the essence for us to be reminded that we are branded as the City of Golden Friendship will be a start for something new. AND THIS WILL CONNECT WITH HIGALAAY. More tourist and investors will surely flow especially that Cagayan de Oro Rank #2 most competitive city in the Philippines. This will be a trademark a legacy for us all.

HIGALA PARA SA HIGALA “2 thumbs up”

It represents 2 things, First part is the HIGALA, this is composed of groups, organizations, companies working together by contributing in anyway to come up with a feast celebration with our poor Kagayanons to symbolize.

First that we are united, it will create an impact for investors to come in not because we are the 2nd most competitive but the relationship of pulling each other up for the benefit of everyone. It’s not a crab mentality thing but more of all for one.
Second, we are extending our contributions to our other HIGALA which are the less fortunate. The 2 thums up represents that we should be equal in celebrating fiesta.There is no rich and poor, we are THE KAGAYANONS. This is our biggest asset we are known for “the city of golden friendship” which can easily be related to HIGALAAY FESTIVAL.

Right now Higalaay organizer is looking for a volunteer to help them especially in promoting Higalaay Tshirts, the money can be gather in selling this shirt will go to the Letchon Festival for the Street Kids.
