Carlos Navea From Cagayan de Oro Joins Bamboo’s Team On The Voice Teens
A 17-year-old singer from Cagayan de Oro made three coaches turn for him when he auditioned on “The Voice Teens” Saturday.
Singing a stripped-down version of Drake’s “One Dance,” Carlos Navea impressed coaches Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo Mañalac with his soothing voice.
“Ikaw pa lang ang artist na nakitaan ko ng ganyang star quality,” said Geronimo.
Salonga added: “Every chance I get to fight, fight, fight — I will. For an artist like you, it’s worth fighting for.”
Mañalac, who was the first coach to turn for Navea, told the teen singer that he is someone he would like to bring all the way to the finals.
“I think you are ready, man,” he said. “Let’s get to that final four spot and we’ll try to win this.”
Acknowledging that he had a hard time choosing which team to join, Navea eventually picked Mañalac as his coach.
Navea is the seventh member of Mañalac’s team.
