Around 150-200 Thousand Estimated Devotees Attended During The Feast of Divine Mercy
Yes around 150-200 thousand estimated devotees who were attended during the feast of Divine Mercy last April 23, 2007. The feast of divine mercy is every 3rd week of April after Holy Week. Divine Mercy Shrine is located at Brgy. Poblacion of El Salvador Misamis Oriental in which the biggest statue of the divine is served as a pilgrimage site for the many Divine Mercy devotees.
It is another successful year of the feast of divine mercy shrine. Local officials, traffic, police, and emergency units were scattered around the complex and along the National Highway for the 2-day event.
The feast of divine mercy is not just popular because of its being the tallest statue of Divine Mercy in the world which has 70 ft. tall from the crown to the base while the body is 50 ft. tall but also because of the dancing sun after the dawn mass.
