President Duterte Wear Barong Tagalog Made by Kagay-anon During His Inauguration
While everyone expects him to wear a Barong from his native town, Davao City, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, instead, wore a Barong made of Mindanao silk by Melody Mae Parrel-Pimentel of Cagayan De Oro.
President Duterte wore a simple Barong with a mini Philippine flag embroidered on the left side of the chest.
It can be recalled the President had 12 Barong Tagalogs prepared for him for his inauguration, but the CDO-made Barong must have been the right kind of simple and comfortable for the president.
