Toyota CDO Opens 1st and Only Body Painting / Finishing NC1 Assessment Center in PH

Toyota Cagayan de Oro‘s Technical Vocational Institution, TCO Socio-Economic and Environmental Development Inc. (TCO-SEED) have achieved another milestone as it officially opened the first and only Body Painting/Finishing NC1 Assessment Center in the Philippines on March 21, 2023. This significant event was attended by executives from Toyota Cagayan de Oro, along with invited guests from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the Department of Education (DepEd), CASA dealers, and car insurance companies.

The opening of the Body Painting/Finishing NC1 Assessment Center marks a significant achievement for TCO-SEED, as it further strengthens the institution’s commitment to providing quality technical education and skills training to its students. With the center’s opening, students will now have access to industry-standard training and assessment facilities that will help them develop the necessary skills to become competent professionals in the automotive industry.

The Body Painting/Finishing NC1 Assessment Center is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, including spray booths, sanding booths, and a fully equipped paint mixing room. The center’s facilities will provide students with hands-on experience in preparing, painting, and finishing automotive bodies, as well as assessing their performance in accordance with industry standards.

The opening of the Body Painting/Finishing NC1 Assessment Center also serves as an affirmation of Toyota Cagayan de Oro’s commitment to promoting sustainable socio-economic development in the region. Through TCO-SEED, Toyota Cagayan de Oro aims to provide underprivileged youth with access to quality technical education and skills training, enabling them to secure better employment opportunities and improve their quality of life.
