Luxury Cars and Hot Meat Worth of P15 Million Seized in Misamis Oriental

Last Wednesday the Bureau of Customs seized smuggled goods of 5 container vans worth of P15-M in Misamis Oriental. Inside these 2 container vans are tons of smuggled frozen meat at the Mindanao Container Terminal. The said frozen meats were from France and the Netherlands by Mondial Food and Jestin Sas.

While inside in the 3 container vans were three vintage cars shipped from the United States to a certain Rodulf Golez from Cagayan de Oro City as consignee and it worth of P4 million. The shipment did not comply with the necessary import permits.

Alvin Enciso, chief of intelligence of the Bureau of Customs CDO, said the BOC is strengthening its efforts to stop illegal brokers and corrupt officials in the agency in line with President Rodrigo Duterte’s marching orders against corruption.
