The proposed increase of tariff on whitewater rafting here sank after members of the local august body decided to defer it, a City Councilor said Wednesday.
City Councilor Ramon Tabor cautioned the body on adopting the resolution prior to a consultation with stakeholders and operators.
City Councilor Candy Darimbang, proponent of the measure, argued that tariff on whitewater rafting here should be increased since it is the lowest in the country.
Tabor, however, said approving the resolution hastily and without reaching a collective agreement with stakeholders might prove fatal to the credibility of the legislative body.
