Mintugsok Falls Cagayan de Oro
Mintugsok Falls Cagayan de Oro is one of the hidden falls in Cagayan de Oro where most of the locals near the city did not know that there is a waterfall near the heart of Cagayan de Oro. I’ve been here during my college days with my adventurer classmates who love outdoor activities also. Mintugsok Falls is located at Mapawa Gusa, Cagayan de Oro.
Cagayan de Oro is known as the rafting capital of the Philippines that’s why most adventurers and traveler tourists would like to visit and experience the rapids of our river. Aside from river rafting, Cagayan de Oro has a waterfall also, yes we have water and that is the Mintugsok Falls.
With my fellow bloggers who love outdoor adventure, we visited again this waterfall together with our outdoor adventurer blogger guide. I think this is my 4th time visiting this waterfall and this time I really appreciate how beautiful is this place from the trail that we followed to the big trees around it.
I can say that the trail that we followed going to the waterfall is advanced because you need to climb some big rocks, a small path to follow, and step down to a big mountain.
The river trek will consume 45 minutes to 1 hour before you will enjoy the waterfall including some rest. The trail is estimated 3-4 kilometers back and forth from the Indahag route and 10-12KM from the Malasag route. It is a perfect trail for beginners and advanced outdoor adventurers. Before you reach the main source of the waterfall you will pass 2 many falls where children love to play here and enjoy these waterfalls as their playground.
