Shabu Seized In Cagayan de Oro During Buy-Bust Operation

A 39-year-old man was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Piaping Puti, Macabalan, Cagayan de Oro on Tuesday, police said.

Recovered from suspect Rolly Sarno were four large sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P170,000, P1,000 drug buy-bust money, and a caliber .22 revolver with ammunition.

Police said Sarno is considered a “high-value target” because of alleged large-scale drug peddling.

According to police Insp. Bermil Alinas, deputy commander of Police Station 6 Puerto, Sarno operates in several barangays in the city. He also reportedly threatens drug runners so they would pay on time.

Aside from violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, the suspect will be charged with illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
