CDOPedia is one of the lucky media who was invited to attend the Vaccine Congress 2013 last January 27, 2013 at Grand Ballroom, Pryce Hotel Cagayan de Oro with its theme; “Evolving Technology. Expanding Coverage. Protecting the next generation.”
One of the topic or awareness during the Vaccine Congress 2013 is about “Faster and Strong: The Race versus Rotavirus”. The name of the virus who is one of the silent killer is named Rotavirus where in there are 4,000 children worldwide die every day as it causes diarrhea among children less than 5 years old of aged. Because of the Rotavirus related gastroenteritis 13 children die every day in the Philippines.
Here in Cagayan de Oro with the help of marathon master Coach Rio who represent the human race against the dreaded disease 500 brave men and women who are eager to win the race against the Rotavirus. To win this race they discussed best practices and share insights on how they can defeat the Rotavirus. He also gave some tips for the proper running.
I hope that our pediatricians will also help give information to those people who are in the lower class. Our government has a big role in this awareness information and hoping that they will their people first not their packet.
