Cagayan de Oro Honored 4 Centenarians

In recognition of their great contributions to our society, the government of Cagayan de Oro honored four centenarians from Cagayan de Oro during ‘Senior Citizens Day’ held on October 12, 2016 at the Limketkai Atrium.

The awardees: Eulalia Velez of Brgy. 14, Juvita Tabor of Kauswagan, Tolentina Tumapon of Tagpangi and Francisca Villamil of Brgy. 40.

As a token for living 100 years or more in life, the four centenarians each got P20,000 in cash and a plaque of appreciation from Mayor Moreno.

More than 1,000 senior citizens from all over the city joined the event which centers on the theme: “Pagmamahal at Respeto ng Nakababata, Nagpapaligaya sa Nakatatanda”.
