What’s Living in Vancouver Like?

Vancouver, Vancouver real state, life in Vancouver, Vancouver Canada, Living in Vancouver, Business in Vancouver Canada, How to acquire real estate in Vancouver Canada, Vancouver City

You’ve heard of Vancouver. You know it’s way over there in British Columbia province. But have you ever been there? Do you know why people love living there so much?

If you’ve heard all good things about living in Vancouver but don’t know any specifics, rest easy. We’re here to answer your questions about this lovely location in Canada’s extreme west.

Plenty of people before you have gone online to scan Vancouver homes for sale and have ultimately made the dive. And you can, too. Here are three things to know about living in Vancouver.

It Is Perfectly Placed

Vancouver is such an interesting city to live in due to its fortunate placement on the coast. But this isn’t just any coast. Vancouver lies on the Strait of Georgia, the body of water between Vancouver on the mainland and Vancouver Island over to the west.

On the other side of the city, you’ve got the magnificent North Shore Mountains, which, as it happens, made a great background for photos of the city skyline.

So, with all the urban delights of a metropolis, residents also have the marinas, Vancouver Island, the nearby Pacific Ocean, and the mountains and their foothills to enjoy. It’s all together in one place called Vancouver.

The City Center Is a Busy Place

In case you haven’t heard, Vancouver is on a peninsula. That means there’s water on three sides. And you surely can’t build more buildings on the water. So, to get around this problem, the city’s offices, high rises, and every other building you can imagine are kind of squeezed into the city center quite tightly. It’s a busy downtown area, to put it lightly.

But, at the same time, residents get to enjoy downtown Stanley Park and its green areas, English Bay and its beaches, and all the urban and maritime views you could want. Once again, Vancouver just has it all.

It Isn’t Too Cold

Canadians know well that their country tends to get a bit cool in the winter (as in, more than a bit). Well, the great thing about Vancouver is that that doesn’t apply here. Summers can surely get warm but never too bad, and they tend to be dry with lots of suns.

But then we have the winters, Yeah, they’re really not that bad! Temperatures are pretty even-keeled, usually getting between 6 and 10 degrees Celsius from December to March. The thing is the rain. It won’t snow too much in Vancouver, but it rains all winter long.

If you can hack that and make it through until summer, then Vancouver may just be for you!

Overall, this is a great city to live in, and its current residents love it. Why not go join them?
