Pica-Pica is one of the famous delicacies in Cagayan de Oro that people love to buy it but on June 21, 2016 it was shutting down by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
Henares caused the shutting down of Pica-Pica by SLERS store, located at Del Pilar-Velez Sreets, which was padlocked by officials from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)-Revenue Region (RR)16 on Tuesday afternoon
The closure order, dated May 30, 2016, was based on the “enclosed recommendatory report of the Investigating Office, as reviewed by the Regional/National Review Board” of the BIR central office in Manila.
On top of that, the establishment, Geraldino said, has an “underdeclaration of annual sales by P2.624 million or 100 percent for taxable year 2015, which is more 30 percent threshold specified under section 248 of the [National Internal Revenue Code] to be considered as fraudulent.”
To reopened the brand, the company should pay P600,000 in taxes and it is required.
