CDRRMO Acquires 5 New Baracuda Rescue Boats
In an effort to enhance their capabilities and swift response in times of disasters, calamities and emergencies, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) has acquired five (5) brand new Baracuda rescue boats which were presented before City Mayor Oscar Moreno and city officials during last Monday’s flagraising ceremony at City Hall.
CDRRMO Head Ret. Col. Mario Verner Monsanto said the P1.7-million new rescue boats with outboard motors are made of polyethylane materials and could accommodate up to ten (10) persons.
During the presentation, the CDRRMO personnel likewise displayed their skills and abilities on rappelling techniques as they descended from City Hall’s fourth floor, aside from showing technical capabilities in handling emergency medical services.
